Boundaries

Overview

Parcel CAD lets you select a parcel, inspect its bearings and distances in a drafting view, and export the boundary as an R12 DXF file for use in AutoCAD or other CAD software.

How to use

1

Navigate to a parcel

Zoom to the neighborhood containing the parcel you want. The selection map is on the left side of the split screen.

2

Click a parcel

Use the crosshair cursor to click any parcel. It will be highlighted in amber, and the surrounding context parcels appear as faint gold lines.

3

Inspect the CAD drawing

The right panel shows the parcel boundary as a CAD drawing with bearings and distances, rendered using VJMAP.

4

Read parcel info

The info bar shows the parcel address, acreage, and owner.

5

Export DXF

Click the download button to export the boundary as an R12 DXF file, compatible with AutoCAD and most CAD viewers.

DXF export

The exported DXF uses the R12 format, the most widely compatible AutoCAD release. Boundary lines are exported as polyline entities with bearing and distance annotations.
