Overview

Parcels Near Rail discovers parcels near FRA rail infrastructure — rail lines, crossings, and yards — sorted by proximity for site selection and noise exposure analysis.

How to use

1

Navigate to an area with rail

Pan and zoom to a region with railroad infrastructure. The app requires zoom level 14 or higher to load parcel data.

2

Read parcel colors

Parcels are colored by distance to rail: red (0–50 m), orange (50–100 m), yellow (100–300 m), green (300+ m).

3

Read rail infrastructure

Rail lines appear in purple, crossings as amber dots, and yards as red dots.

4

Review value statistics

The side panel shows average property value per acre by distance bucket, so you can see how proximity to rail affects assessed value.

5

Inspect parcels

Click any parcel for its address, land use, acreage, and distance to rail.

Data layers

landrecords.us parcels
